Houghton Hall

Houghton Hall is one of the finest Palladian houses in the country, built by Britain’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, in the 1720s.

HOUGHTON HALL

The Hall is surrounded by parkland, home to white fallow and exotic deer and contemporary sculptures. The award-winning five-acre Walled Garden houses a formal rose garden, kitchen garden, glasshouses, and stunning herbaceous borders, fountains and statues. A soldier museum is housed in the Stable Square where the Old Stables, Tack Room, Shop and Tea Room/Restaurant can also be found.
